PARENT INFORMATION
CONFIRMATION AND FIRST COMMUNION 2010
Thursday 18th March 2010 PARENT MEETING (in the
Church at 7.00pm) It is essential that at least one Parent of Guardian attend.
By now you should have:
- returned the application form, fee, and a copy of your child's baptism certificate (or date of Baptised at St Joseph's).
- placed your child's name on the 'group/location' list of your choice.
It is important that the parish office has your child's chosen Confirmation name as soon as possible so that the sashes can be embroidered in time. ALSO, the sponsor's name, so that the certificates can be printed.

Confirmation/First Communion. (Saturday 6.00pm, Sunday 7.00am, 9.00am) Please attend one of these Masses with your child. |
GROUP SESSIONS BEGIN
| Week beginning April 19th, 2010 | Week 1 of the Group Sessions |
| Week beginning April 26th, 2010 | Week 2 of the Group Sessions |
| Week beginning May 3rd, 2010 | Week 3 of the Group Sessions |
| Week beginning May 10th, 2010 | Week 4 of the Group Sessions |
| Week beginning May 17th, 2010 | Week 5 of the Group Sessions |
| Week beginning May 24th, 2010 | Week 6 of the Group Sessions. By the end of this week, your child should be at the end of his/her workbook. This remains the property of the child and does not need to be returned. |
| Thursday, May 27th 2010 | RECONCILIATION for children, at 7.00pm in the Church. |
| Tuesday, June 1st and Thursday, June 3rd. (Children at schools other than St Josephs need only attend the Thursday practice) |
Confirmation practice at 1.15pm in the Church. It is hoped that children can attend both these rehearsal so they are confident on the night. |
| Friday, June 4th, 2010, 7.00pm | CONFIRMATION CELEBRATION Please have your children in the Parish Hall by 6.30pm. The children will be under the supervison of teachers and team leaders. Children are to bring their sashes (special pins wil be given out to secure the sashes). After Confirmation, families and friends are invited to share supper in the Hall, and to take photos of the Confirmation cake which wil be cut and distributed. |

FIRST COMMUNION MASS Your child will receive his/her First Communion (and Certificate) at whichever Mass he/she chooses to attend this weekend. |
